After being overlooked by numerous division one schools, Richaun transferred in from a junior college and helped lead the Bowling Green Falcons to new levels of success and finishing as the conference Defensive Player of the Year, lead rebounder and shot blocker.
Following his time at Bowling Green, Richan was drafted by the Philadelphia Sixers being one of the key players drafted as part of the process. Richaun’s defensive tenacity was quickly noticed and earned him a role in the team’s rotation where his energy and skills as a rim roller were on full display.
